All components are fitted in a custom carrying case for convenient storage and easy transport. The AE 101 can be combined with the AE 102 Hydrogen Fuel Cell for solar experiments with a electrolyzer. Add the AE 103 Wind Energy Trainer to setup a hybrid wind/solar system with electrolyser. Details...

AE 102 Hydrogen - Fuel Cell Trainer

Perform classroom demonstrations and oversee student experiments using an electrolyser and fuel cell. All required electronics and metering are included together with a rugged base plate. All parts are stored in a custom travel case. The supplied electrolyzer can be operated with either the AE 101 Solar Energy Trainer or AE 103 Wind Energy Trainer; or use both to demonstrate a hybrid alternative energy system. Details...

AE 103 Wind Energy Trainer

Demonstrate on a tabletop scale the conversion of energy from wind to electricity. The wind power plant generator (turbine) can be setup with different blade configurations, and the source of airflow is adjustable. All required circuit modules and measuring instruments are included. Use the wind generator as an electrical supply to the AE 102 electrolyser, and add the AE 101 photovoltaic cells to demonstrate hybrid power plants. A custom formed carrying case is included. Details...

AE 104 Energy Measurements & Assessment

A collection of test instruments for students activities aimed at quantifying various forms of energy in their environment. Students will measure room air quality, surface temperature, indoor & outdoor temperature, illuminance levels, water consumption, and energy consumption of electrical appliances. All instruments are shipped in a protective carrying case. Details...

EPH 1 Photovoltaic Trainer

The photovoltaic trainer teaches the basic principles of solar techniques. It is possible to construct a fully functional standalone photovoltaic system with photovoltaic cells, inverter, battery, and load components. The teaching system is modular in design and mounts on a upright tabletop frame. The intensity and angle of the light source is adjustable, enabling basic exercises on the subject of photovoltaics to be completed. Details...

UniTrain-I Power Semiconductors, Electrical Machines & Drives

In order to comprehend the generation of electricity based on renewable energy, and electric drive systems in vehicles, students must grasp the function of semiconductor devices and machine drives that are key components to most power systems. EUG / EUL Generator Control, Grid Synchronization, and Transmission Lines

Electrical power is mainly produced by three-phase generators. This applies to power stations as well as to standby power supplies, hydroelectric & wind generators. In addition to the basic experiments dealing with three-phase synchronous generators, the experiments involving the "EUG" modules include manual and automatic synchronizing circuits as well as experiments on the automatic power factor control (cos-phi control) and power control. Thus, the ”EUG“ modules can be used to simulate power station operation in stand-alone (isolated) or interconnected operation.

By adding the “EUL” Power Transmission Line modules, instructors can demonstrate three-phase line simulation of a high voltage overhead power line for measuring various operational states (eg. open-line, matched, short-circuit) Details...

ET 202 Solar Energy Demonstrator

The ET 202 is a fully-functional demonstration model of a system for heating domestic water using radiation energy. A high-power lamp simulates natural sunlight. Therefore, the unit can also be used in closed rooms. The light is converted into heat in an absorber and transferred to a heat transfer medium, in this case water. A circulating pump delivers the heat transfer medium through a warm water reservoir. In the reservoir, the heat is transferred to the stored water by a heat exchanger. Additional heat can be dissipated using 2 tap water connections. The unit is equipped with sensors to record temperatures, illumination and flow rate. The measured values are indicated on displays. Using a data acquisition card, they can be transferred to a PC for further processing. The ET 202 can be used to investigate various angles of incidence and irradiances. To do this, the flat absorber can be set to different angles and the height of the lamp is continuously adjustable. Details...

PROFI PV Trainer- Modular Photovoltaic Training Frame & Panels

A frame based system with a catalog of modules using commercial components ideally suited for technician skills based training and real world experiments for engineering education. Modules include polycrystalline and amorphous photovoltaic cells, AC and DC loads, a choice of inverters, grid connection, metering, battery storage, and instrumentation. Details...

HL 313 Single Solar Collector System

In this system a flat plate collector transmits the radiated heat of the sun to a heat transfer medium. The energy is transferred to a hot water circuit in a heat exchanger. A differential temperature controller with thermostat keeps the hot water temperature in the reservoir constant. The solar circuit is protected with an expansion vessel and a safety valve. This system is built using commercially available components. For adequate performance the system should be operated with direct irradiation by the sun. Details...

CE 640 Biotechnical Production of Alcohol

As well as its great importance for the chemical and foodstuffs industries, ethanol (alcohol) is increasingly being used as a fuel. The CE 640 can be used to conduct realistic experiments for the production of ethanol from starch-based raw materials such as potatoes. The system consists of three main components: a mash tank, a fermentation tank and a distillation unit. Details...

CT 110 Engine Test Stand with CT 100.24 Four Stroke BioDiesel Engine

The CT 110 test stand can be used for a wide range of experiments on small internal combustion engines with a power output of up to 7.5 kW. Choose from 5 different engines, including BioDiesel, which can be mounted on the engine base plate. A test engine can be installed in just a few minutes. A load is applied to the engines by an air-cooled variable frequency asynchronous motor. The engines can be studied under full and partial load. A variable load and speed are applied to determine the characteristic diagram for each engine. The relationship between brake and engine can also be investigated. The test stand is ideal for both demonstrations and independent experiments by students. The data acquisition software displays all relevant values. The instructional material covers background theory and includes step-by-step instructions to experiments. The test stand can be operated in normal laboratory facilities. Noise emissions are within an acceptable range. The exhaust gases are vented externally via a hose. Details...
